"PLYWOOD is available in Moisture Resistant(MR) and Boiling Water Resistant (BWR) grades. Both the grades are used for the interior and exterior wood working application. This ISI marked M.R. grade plywood is bonded with Melamine Urea Forrnaldehyde Synthetic Resin." While the BWR grade plywood is bonded with Fortified Phenol Forrnaldehyde Synthetic Resin as pet Standards of IS:848:1974 Under controlled temperature and pressure with adequate timings to obtain unmatched bonding.
It is much more expensive than standard plywood. There are few international standards for grading marine plywood and most of the standards are voluntary. Some plywood is also labeled based on the wood used to manufacture it.
